3. Froggi Feet - 'It's Hopping Mad!'
Should our young people be outside more? Safer? Provided with better opportunities and better facilities? All in a fun and appealing way? And at minimum cost? Available to all? - Froggi Feet Sports - A leap in the right direction!
What is Froggi Feet?
Froggi Feet is a brand new and dynamic children's sports brand. Froggi Feet is a 'People's Brand' - a brand that everyone can identify with. The Froggi Feet brands primary objective is to promote sport, health, fitness and wellbeing in a safe and, most importantly, fun environment.
Children, both boys and girls, will be divided into three categories -
1. 2 years of age - 'tadpoles'
2. Once you reach your 3rd birthday a child passes into the main category 3-4yrs - Frogs
3. Once a child reaches their 4th birthday they no longer qualify for the Froggi Feet Academy - they are classified as Toads.
Although Froggi Feet Sport is firmly aimed at the under 4's it is essential that Froggi Feet sports develops and sustains a coaching network - made up of tennis coaches, youth leaders, sports teachers and coaches, church leaders, parents and carers. FroggiFeet.com will prove an invaluable resource for connecting, informing and empowering these individuals.
Froggi Feet is very much a people's brand and through various schemes and initiatives Froggi Feet Sports would intend to tackle head on - community building, sport for all, childhood obesity, poverty issues, and urban regeneration.
Froggi Feet will operate on four clearly defined levels and initially in three clearly defined sports - tennis, soccer, and golf although plans are afoot to quickly add Froggi Feet fitness and indeed a 'Learn to Swim' Product.
LEVEL 1 - ACTUAL SPORT - TENNIS, SOCCER, GOLF
In terms of actual sport, first and foremost two things are vital -
1.that the child runs around and enjoys themselves and
2. that the parent/guardian should hopefully participate but should not be penalised ie. Greatly inconvenienced or financially too stretched.
The Froggi Feet Tennis idea is to turn the rather daunting tennis court environment into somewhere a child wants to be - this is achieved by adding that certain, 'Je ne sais pas', that little something - 'the 'F' Factor'. By literally covering the court in fun items the child will automatically be drawn in. So, what is the 'Froggi Factor'? - Balls (called Frogs), a pond, lily pads, balloons, ball flowers, hats, stickers, badges and upbeat music. No child will be able to resist!
LEVEL 2 - ACTUAL SPORT BUT IN A VIRTUAL ENVIRONMENT
A PC or Nintendo Wii style game using a lot of the real accessories from level 1 ie.
Real racquets, (connected to console), playing the same games and exercises that they have learnt in the real game. The really exciting opportunity presents itself when you realise that the child has the startling opportunity to play against an absent friend or relative who may perhaps be in a different country and time zone - Stunning!
LEVEL 3 - DIGITAL MEDIA AND ENTERTAINMENT
As a brand going forward Froggi Feet will be available as a cartoon series, and iphone app (or many iphone apps), perhaps a digital comic book, a real comic book, a radio show , PDF Downloads (Court templates and colouring books), Interactive learning objectives.
LEVEL 4 - INTERNET AND SOCIAL MEDIA
An extremely powerful medium for Froggi Feet sport is E-Commerce, online shop, selling memberships, real and virtual products and cartoon downloads. A closed (and extremely safe) social networking opportunity 'Froggibook.com' Froggi Feet sports would also use and utilise conventional social media and social networking opportunities using Twitter, Facebook, YouTube etc. to build the brand and maximise each and all opportunities to truly become a global brand.
